Client accused of aggravated battery will have case dismissed after completing first offender program

Client charged with aggravated battery enters in first offender PTI program.  The client was charged after he and a coworker got into a heated argument that escalated to the point where my client struck his coworker with a metal rod causing deep lacerations to his arm and back.  Erick Cruz was able to successfully convince the prosecutors to accept his client into the pretrial intervention program.  Erick did this by explaining to the prosecutor that his client acted out of character for the situation, that the alleged victim instigated the attack and that the injuries suffered by the victim were relatively minor.  After completing the program, the client’s case will be dismissed and he will be eligible to have his case expunged from his criminal record.
