CLIENT FACING MULTIPLE DRUG CHARGES GETS HER CASE TOTALLY DISMISSED

By Erick Cruz January 24, 2017 Posted in News, Victories

Erick Cruz obtained the dismissal of the case against a young woman who was stopped by police officers for a routine traffic violation and was arrested after the cops searched her car.  Inside the car, the officers found several grams of cocaine, over 20 grams of cannabis, marijuana wax and drug paraphernalia.  Erick was able to demonstrate to the prosecutors that although the client was driving the car, she did not own the car and had no knowledge of what was inside.  The prosecutors agreed and dismissed all felony charges against her.  The prosecutors did charge her with a small amount of marijuana found in her purse.  Nevertheless, after setting the case for trial, he forced the prosecutors to also dismiss that count after they were not prepared to proceed on those allegations.  Fortunately for the young woman, all her charges were dismissed and she will be eligible to have her arrest record expunged.
